Kalinago English does not guarantee that the content found on this site will be free of errors, defects, viruses or any other damaging elements. Kalinago English content is protected, using the latest virus protection software and firewall technology, however it is does not assume any responsibility, should any content you take from this site cause damage to your computer or files.

Kalinago English reserves the right to add new content, amend or delete any current content from the site and service without prior notice.

Refunds

Given the nature of the product, ie. a .pdf, no refunds are given.

If, however, you find a typo or would like to report an out-of-date question on either the prompt sheets or the SimplyQuests, please contact me as this information is very much appreciated. You will receive the corrected version and I will also give you a free .pdf of your choice (only valid for SimplyConversations and those authored by Karenne Sylvester).

Financial Transactions

All financial transactions on this website go through PayPal. You will never receive a request for money, nor a request for your PayPal details from Kalinago English.

Please note that your credit card and/or paypal account information is your and PayPal's information only. None of your personal financial details regarding this part of the transaction are ever passed on to Kalinago English and while you should contact Kalinago English if you should have a problem with your transaction, Kalinago English accepts no responsibility nor liability if the transaction error is due to an error within PayPal's system.

Kalinago English also accepts no responsibility if you pass on your private details to a third party posing as either Kalinago English or PayPal.

You can opt for arranging a direct bank transfer, send an email with details and Kalinago English will respond to let you know how to pay.

Cross-cultural sensitivity

Kalinago English assumes no responsibility if you or your students are offended by any of the questions presented within the question prompts.

It is very important that you are aware of your students and their culture(s). Some of the questions have been written specifically to provoke animated response (not many but some) and the author is aware that this concept of communication is not always accepted globally.

When in doubt regarding whether or not a question may or may not be culturally inappropriate, it is your responsibility to remove the said card from the set or to ask your Director of Studies what he/she thinks.

If you feel that a card should carry a warning sign, please let me know and one can be added.

Legal permissions

You understand that SimplyConversations^TM refers to the system, concept and design which includes the entire set: SimplyConversations^TM, Conversation Control^TM, SimplyQuests^TM and the SimplyC.wiki^TM.

You may:

Individuals

*photocopy the material for your own personal use in class.

*photocopy the material and share with your students.

Institutes

*photocopy the material for the use of your institute.

*This refers to one location. If you are chain or a franchise, each school must make their purchase separately.

*photocopy the material (the SimplyConvesations prompt sheets, ConversationControl & SimplyQuests on to your own institutes' letterhead or style sheet as long as the logo, trademark, copyright and website address remain clearly visible on the page.

*photocopy the material and share with your institute's students.

*photocopy the material and distribute it to your teachers.

*send the .pdf to your teachers via email.

When doing so you will explain the rules as above.

By downloading or purchasing the sheet you also accept the following prohibitions.

Legal prohibitions

By downloading or purchasing this material you fully agree and comply with the fact that you do not have permission to re-create the system nor the material in your own way and then re-market it for your own financial gain.

While it is likely that as a language institution or a teacher you probably already have your own pre-made card system of questions or your own way of presenting questions to the students - obviously, I am not referring to these.

Please read the system explained if you are in any doubt of what is refered to by the concept or system.

Kalinago English is the only site where you can purchase SimplyConversations^TM material.

You are not allowed to download the files, then upload elsewhere, nor are you allowed to print units out and re-sell.

You also recognize the fact that you are not allowed to translate the sheets nor the quests, nor the SimplyC.wiki and then re-market and re-sell.

You agree that the packaging of the units, as enclosed in a .pdf file, is entirely original and you will not publish the work, traditionally or via the web, in part or in whole as your own concept or design, nor will you try to sell it as so.

Trademarks and Copyright

You promise that you will not use the trademarked names on these products nor attempt to adapt or adjust them to be similiar though not the same.

These includes the following:

SimplySpeaking^TM (name of the teacher training workshop), Simple Conversations, Simple Speaking, Simple Talking etc.

Conversation Control^TM

Conversation Checker, Control Conversations, Conversation Check, Conversation Monitor.

SimplyQuests^TM

Simple Web Quests, Simple Quests, Conversation Quests.

SimplyC.wiki^TM

Simple Wiki, Conversation Wiki, Speaking Skills Wiki.

Also, by agreeing to the terms of service you accept that you are strictly prohibited from redesigning any of the above functions and calling them your own.

You promise that even if you create your own web based search quest activities for language learners that you will not simply copy the questions listed in the SimplyQuests^TM and then market that product as your own.

You agree not to reproduce the Conversation Control sheet, change around the order or increase the spacing and then call this your own.

You understand that a version of this product will be made for different markets and languages and will not attempt to do this and call it your own.

The web, bookshops and publishers' stands have been repetitively scanned for over a four period and it is clear that there is nothing available in the market quite like SimplyConversations^TM the ConversationControl^TM, the SimplyC.wiki^TM or SimplyQuests^TM. These are unique products.

If however you disagree and you feel that you have already created a very similiar material in terms of concept and design, you may need to prove that you did so before downloading or purchasing.
